Chocolate Cake
For this recipe, I made 2loaf pans of chocolate cakes. You can also use this recipe if you would like to make Chocolate Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting. Less time in the oven and can yield 24 pieces. You can also use the other loaf pan to make Choco Butternut Cake.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup whole milk or 2 %
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease two loaf pans or two 9 inches cake pans.
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat for about 2-3 minutes.
Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool for 5 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely.
